STIKO @ rki - the redesigned vaccination app for doctors and health professionals

The Standing Vaccination Commission (STIKO) at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) develops vaccination recommendations for Germany, which are also the basis for the vaccination guidelines of the Federal Joint Committee are. The recommendations are considered to be the medical standard and an updated version is published every August. An interactive version of the STIKO recommendations and other helpful information about vaccination can now be found in a single app.

The STIKO @ rki app was developed by the RKI for vaccinating doctors and healthcare professionals in order to support them with questions about vaccination in everyday practice. With just a few clicks, users get the information relevant to advising individual patients. An extended interactive vaccination check, a travel vaccination tool and an explanatory video area are in preparation.

The app also contains the specialist information on all vaccines, answers to frequently asked questions about vaccinations and the RKI guide to vaccine-preventable diseases. Via an integrated news feed function, users are informed about current information and statements from the STIKO as well as other important vaccine-specific messages (e.g. vaccine delivery bottlenecks, news).

The app includes, among other things, find:

• Recommendations for vaccinations for certain risk groups (indicated vaccinations)

• Recommendations for post-exposure prophylaxis

• The specialist information on all vaccines

• Answers from the RKI to frequently asked questions (FAQs)

• RKI doctor's guide to vaccine-preventable diseases

% eighty An interactive vaccination check that supports the treating doctors with individual vaccination advice. Based on patient information on age, gender and vaccination history, their vaccination status is checked, pending vaccinations are identified and recommendations are made to close existing vaccination gaps.

eighty users are informed about current information via push messages and statements by STIKO as well as other important vaccination-specific reports (e.g. vaccine delivery bottlenecks).

Updates of the app take place automatically.
